Dr. Reina Carioti is a Board Certified Acupuncture Physician and Certified Health Education Specialist. Since joining Full Potential Healthcare in 2010 she has been able to effectively and dynamically compliment the treatments of Michael Bauerschmidt, MD.

Dr. Carioti was graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education from William Paterson University prior to pursuing Oriental Medicine. This background gives Dr. Carioti a firm understanding of the human body, disease, medicine and how to educate the patients about health.  She worked in the field for the Bergen County Department of Health Services (New Jersey) in the Office of Health Promotion and later obtained further education to become CHES certified.

After choosing to pursue Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine graduate studies at The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Florida her focus has become helping people learn how to eat well, avoid toxins, minimize pharmaceutical use and ultimately avoid disease. Her passion is in finding alternatives to drugs and surgery whenever possible. Most of this is done with the help of nutrition education, western and Chinese herbs and Homeopathic medicine in addition to Acupuncture and Biopuncture.

Dr. Carioti’s diverse background in medicine has truly kept her a step ahead in her field.  She has been awarded prestigious internships including with Dr. Eric Braverman, MD, a specialist in anti-aging brain function and has obtained post graduate training and certificates in women’s health, pain management and advanced cosmetic techniques.
